Enjoy a guided tour of the penny loafer factory in Aurland town centre by the UNESCO-listed Aurland fjord. Learn about the tradition and craftsmanship of the Aurland Shoe (the original penny loafer), meet the shoemaker and learn about how the shoes are made. This guided tour includes bus from Flåm.

The Aurland Economusée, has for many years attracted many visitors who want to learn more about one of our few remaining Norwegian shoe manufacturers.
Here you get to hear the story behind the shoe factory, join the production premises and not least get an opportunity to buy shoes or other great leather products to take home.
A visit to the Aurland Economusée is a great experience that differs a lot from much of what the traditional tourist often demands. You are guaranteed an educational experience.
