Guided bike and hiking tour on Kongevegen
The bus takes you from Flåm and Aurland via Lærdalsøyri to Borlaug, where the road splits between the mountain passes Filefjell and Hemsedalsfjellet. Here, everyone will be provided with bicycles and helmets before setting off on two wheels along the Kongevegen. The stretch you will cycle is paved. In some places, it follows the original King's Road, while in others, you can see traces of the old track beside it. It is an easy bike ride on flat terrain, and the guide will make stops and tell stories along the way. Halfway through, you will take a break at a unique little pub in Borgund.
Upon arrival in Borgund, you will park the bikes and get a guided tour of the authentic Borgund Stave Church.
After visiting the church, the journey continues on foot along the King's Road. Now it is time for the famous stretch called Vindhellavegen. This leg takes about 50 minutes on easy terrain from Borgund Stave Church, with a slight uphill and then downhill. Once you reach the main road, you will be picked up by the bus, which will take you back to Lærdalsøyri, Aurland, and Flåm.
