Geiranger & Sunnmøre

Geiranger and the Sunnmøre region is a must-visit for anyone seeking to explore the natural beauty of Norway. This region offers a wide variety of natural beauty, rich cultural history and adventurous activities.

It is not without reason that Geirangerfjord is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The stunning fjord is one of a kind with small farms clinging to the steep mountainsides. Less than 300 people live in Geiranger all year round, but the population increases significantly during the summer season. The compact and charming village centre is full of shops and kiosks and the surrounding hillsides offer several viewpoints to the fjord.

The surrounding Sunnmøre Alps offers some of Norway's most scenic hiking trails, with panoramic views of the fjords and landscapes. Whether you are kayaking or cruising on crystal-clear waters, exploring small villages like Sæbø or Valldal, hiking on one of the region’s signature peaks such as Mt. Slogen, or simply wandering around Ålesund’s art nouveau architecture, Geiranger and Sunnmøre will provide lasting memories.
