Charming Henningsvær

Henningsvær was built around the fishing industry and was once Norway’s most important fishing village. Back in the days, the strait used filled with fishing boats during the main fishing season in winter. Apparently, you could walk from boat to boat from one side of the strait to the other. Today it is a lively and charming fishing village with a unique balance both an urban and a small-town feeling. Although fishing is still the largest industry here, you will also find several good restaurants, accommodations, cosy shops, and galleries along the harbour and the cosy side-streets.
