In the middle of the Sunnmøre Alps you find the breath-taking Hjørundfjord. Explore it on a kayaking tour in peace and quiet between some of Norway's wildest mountains and enjoy the pristine nature.
Enjoy a full-day kayaking trip in the picturesque scenery of a fjord which can be considered a hidden gem in Western Norway. The tour starts at 10:00 in Øye, in the fjord arm Norangsfjorden, where there is good protection from the rougher weather one can encounter further out the fjord. The day begins with a mandatory safety talk about the kayaks and kayaking before you set off to enjoy the stunning nature. There are good chances to get to see parts of the wildlife such as eagles, porpoises and otters. During the tour you will also have an included picnic lunch.

The kayaks you will use are stable tandem kayaks which are easy to paddle and provide a perfect platform to explore the fjords. Uteguiden will provide all necessary kayak equipment for the guests, and the experienced guides will give basic instructions before you paddle out on the fjord.
The 35-kilometre-long Hjørundfjord cuts into the dramatic landscape of the massive Sunnmøre Alps, with one arm reaching to Bjørke, while the other, known as the Norangsfjord, stretching to Øye. The surrounding steep mountains are an amazing hiking destination. To this day it is still a challenge to construct roads in the area, so you can still encounter small villages and farms along the Hjørundfjord which are still only reachable by boats.
