Vindhellavegen is a unique and captivating part of Kongevegen. This stretch is renowned for its distinctive, steep turns and beautiful stone walls. Like the rest of Kongevegen, Vindhellavegen was built in the 1790s by order of the King, serving as the most important route between the east and west of Norway.

The tour begins with a bus ride from Flåm, passing through Aurland, and picking up passengers at Håbakken from the corresponding bus departing from Lærdalsøyri. Upon arrival in Borgund, the tour starts at Borgund Stave Church. The approximately 2-kilometer-long path is easy to walk, with a gentle incline at the beginning, followed by a downhill descent through the steep turns, eventually reaching the road at Rimskjold. The guided tour takes about 1 hour, including stops where you'll learn the details and secrets of Vindhellavegen.

From Rimskjold, you will be picked up by the bus and return to your starting point.
