This privacy statement describes how we collect and process personal data. The responsibility for processing your personal data is shared among the companies Myrkdalen Fjellandsby AS, Norway’s Best AS, and Myrkdalen Sport og Skiutleige AS. Norway's Best AS (org. no. 982897424) is responsible for collecting personal data on the website and sharing personal data with other companies where necessary concerning the specific booking. You can exercise your rights concerning and towards each data controller company under the Personal Data Act.

Purpose of treatment

We collect and process personal data about you for the following purposes:
- To register your details in our system for future use.
- To create a contract when using our services.
- Organize and process payment of invoices.
- Perform ordering patterns and behaviour analyses to improve our services, availability, and digital platform (website, booking, social media channels, chat, email).
- Marketing using remarketing and targeted advertising.
- To ensure delivery of purchased products and maintain good logistics.

Your personal data may be converted into aggregated data for statistical research and reports. Such data cannot be traced back to you.

We collect data using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics; the data is anonymised within this platform. We use this data to understand how visitors use our website, improve the website, and carry out digital marketing campaigns. Data collected includes:
- Time of the website visit
- Time spent on the website
- Interactions with the website (clicks on links, length spent on the website, where visitors came in from (search engines, social media, referral from other websites, ad clicks)
- Browser, operating system and platform (mobile, PC, tablet)
- IP location
- Language in the browser

Online customer data
As part of our business, we store customer data to fulfil the contract we have entered into with the customer and comply with legal requirements.

We process and store all or some of the following personal information about our customers.

- Travel time
- Payment information
- Purchased activities
- Accommodation bought

We store this information for up to 5 years to comply with Norwegian accounting and bookkeeping laws. We may also retain the information for over five years if there are outstanding payments or active legal disputes.

Business-to-business customer data as part of our business, we store data about our customers to fulfil the contract we have entered into with them and comply with legal requirements. Furthermore, we store information about our relationships with our partners to provide better service.

We process and store all or some of the following personal information about our business to business customers- Name
- Business affiliation
- Job title
- Phone number
- Email
- Postal address (of the company)
- List of ordered products
- Travel time
- Email correspondence regarding orders, contracts, and other legal
- Payment information
- Records of completed purchases and payment status

Norwegian accounting and bookkeeping laws require us to store this information for up to five years. We may also retain the information for over five years if there are outstanding payments or active legal disputes.

Newsletter recipients
We send newsletters to everyone who has signed up to receive information about our products and special offers. We process the following information:
- Name
- Position/title of the person
- Email address.

Newsletter subscription is based on consent. We delete this information if someone unsubscribes from the newsletter; the data will not be used for other purposes.

Retention Periods
We keep your personal data for as long as there is a statutory or legal requirement to do so or to provide services to you according to our contract. For accounting or auditing purposes, we may keep your personal data for a period after our direct business relations have ended.

We are legally obligated under the Norwegian Accounting Act.
