Booking Terms

1. General Terms


1.1 These general terms and conditions apply between Norway's best AS and others who enter into an agreement with Norway's best AS according to the confirmation (the guest).
1.2 Norway's best AS is responsible for all transactions made through myrkdalen.no.
1.3 Norway's best AS is responsible for ensuring that our subcontractors are paid for what the guest has ordered through us. Our subcontractors are responsible for their part of the program and complete insurance, permits, equipment, staffing, and other requirements in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations for the provider.
1.4 The guest who books on myrkdalen.no must be at least 18 years old. This applies to all goods and/or services that can be ordered on the relevant website, excluding Cabins/Apartments (see § 1.5)
1.5 When booking cabins or apartments, the person making the reservation must be at least 23 years old.
1.6 Norway's Best AS disclaims responsibility for any errors made by guests who do not follow our terms. These terms are designed to protect both you as a guest and Norway's Best AS as a distributor.

2. Booking


2.1 A booking becomes binding once a booking number has been assigned to the guest and payment has been completed. Guests are responsible for verifying that their arrival and departure dates, as well as all other details related to the booking, are accurate.

3. Payment


3.1 The guest is required to pay 100% when booking through myrkdalen.no and present the receipt upon arrival. 3D Secure is enabled on the website.
3.2 Our partner, Teller AS, is responsible for ensuring that credit card numbers and codes are handled securely in accordance with the requirements defined in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

4. Insurance


4.1 We advise all our customers to have comprehensive insurance coverage before their trip to protect against illness, loss or damage to luggage, accidents, liability, and more.

5. Terms for all products ordered on myrkdalen.no

5.1 Cancellation
5.1.1 Cancellation must be made in writing by email to customerservice@myrkdalenhotel.no
5.1.2 If the cancellation occurs 20 days or more before arrival, Norway's best AS will refund 100% of the paid amount. Any refund will be made to the credit card used for the booking.
5.1.3 If the cancellation occurs between 19 and 10 days before arrival, Norway's best AS will refund 50% of the amount paid. Any refund will be made to the credit card used for the booking.
5.1.4 If cancellation occurs less than ten days before arrival, the amount will not be refunded.

5.2 Change of reservation
5.2.1 Changes to arrival or departure dates must be made at least ten days prior to arrival.Changes must be made via email to customerservice@myrkdalenhotel.no.
Changes may result in an additional charge due to higher prices because of availability and offers.

5.3 Check-in, check-out and arrival for all accommodation units
5.3.1 Check-in for all accommodation units is at Myrkdalen Hotel after 4:00 PM on the day of arrival
5.3.2 Check-out for all accommodation units is at Myrkdalen Hotel before 11:00 AM on the day of departure
5.3.3 Ski passes sold as part of an accommodation package should be collected at Myrkdalen Hotel.
5.3.4 The reception at Myrkdalen Hotel is open 24 hours, but if your arrival time is later than 8 PM, please call or email us.

5.4 Change of accommodation unit
5.4.1 Due to events beyond Norway's Best AS's control, Norway's Best has the right to relocate the guest to an equivalent accommodation unit. Where possible, the guest will be informed of these changes. Such changes do not give the guest the right to withhold payment for the stay.

5.5 Complaints about the accommodation
5.5.1 If guests have any complaints about their accommodation unit when they arrive or during their stay, please contact the reception at Myrkdalen Hotel as soon as possible so the issue can be resolved.
5.5.2 Any issues reported upon departure or afterwards will not be eligible for financial compensation.

5.6 Specific Terms for Cabins/Apartments in Myrkdalen Mountain Village
5.6.1 Electricity is included in the price. Firewood is not included and must be ordered separately.
5.6.2 The stay is based on self-catering. Bed linen is mandatory and included in the price when booked. Towels are also included. Made-up beds (on request): NOK 300,- per person
5.6.3 The guest is responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. If an insurance claim is made, the deductible will be charged to the guest.
5.6.4 The accommodation must be left tidy. Waste should be placed in the waste shed in the cabin areas, and bed linen rented from Norway's Best AS must be returned to the reception at Myrkdalen Hotel.
5.6.5 A cleaning fee is required when renting our accommodations. This fee is included in the booking price.
5.6.6 Smoking is prohibited in our units and pets are only permitted in the cabins/apartments if this has been agreed in writing with Norway's best AS.
5.6.7 There should be quiet/peace between 11:00 PM and 07:00 AM

6. Terms for Ski Pass


6.1 Ski passes are personal and cannot be transferred to others.
6.2 Lost passes will not be replaced.
6.3 Ski passes cannot be returned.
6.4 The pass will be revoked for any misuse or violation of the alpine slope rules. Guests can read these rules at myrkdalen.no.
6.5 No compensation will be provided for shutdowns due to bad weather, power outages, mechanical failures, or similar occurrences.

7. SEASON PASS REFUND IN THE EVENT OF A PANDEMIC


We are committed to ensuring that the Myrkdalen season pass is a valuable investment, offering many great experiences. Skiing and outdoor activities, with plenty of space on the slopes, should be safe. We are planning with robust infection control measures so that all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience.

For those who purchase season passes, we provide a refund guarantee in the unlikely event that the ski resort must shut down a large part of the season due to COVID-19 or another pandemic.

The following refund policy applies in the event of a pandemic for the winter season 24-25:

Number of opening days – Refund of paid annual pass price: < 100 days 20 % < 75 days 40 % < 50 days 60 % < 25 days 80 %


REFUND

No refunds will be issued for ski passes due to bad weather, fog, snow, icing, technical failures, or similar conditions.If you are uncertain about the weather and conditions, please get in touch with the ticket office before purchasing your ski pass. If you are injured or ill, we will issue a refund upon receipt of a medical certificate. Refunds for disease or injury will only be given to the person who is sick or injured and only for the days the ski pass has not been used. No refunds will be given for early departure due to unforeseen events. Refunds for chosen days throughout the season and season passes are optional. 8. Terms for Ski Rental

8.1 Cancellation
Referring to section 5.1

8.2 Equipment Distribution
8.2.1 Equipment ordered through myrkdalen.no can be collected at Myrkdalen Sport & Ski Rental, located opposite Myrkdalen Hotel.

8.3 Equipment return
8.3.1 Equipment must be returned to Myrkdalen Sport & Ski Rental by 4:00 PM on January 31st and by 4:30 PM until the rental period ends on May 1st.

8.4 Compensation
8.4.1 No compensation is provided for operational downtime caused by bad weather, power outages, mechanical failures, or similar issues.

9. Terms for Ski School Products

9.1 Cancellation
Referring to section 5.1

9.2 Compensation
No compensation will be provided for operational shutdowns at ski resorts due to bad weather, power outages, mechanical failures, or similar events.

10. Force Majeure and Unsatisfactory Weather Conditions

Norway's best AS and our subcontractors are not responsible for unsatisfactory weather conditions, closed facilities, or other circumstances beyond the company's control. We reserve the right to errors in pricing, descriptions of services, and technical problems that may arise. The parties may withdraw from the agreement if the purchased goods cannot be used due to acts of war, natural disasters, prolonged interruptions of water or electricity supplies, and similar events that neither Norway's best AS nor the guest could have foreseen or influenced.
