The Viking Planet
Welcome to The Viking Planet - the world’s first digital Viking museum. Here, cutting-edge technology brings Viking history to life in a completely new and immersive way. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a curious traveler, or looking for an unforgettable family activity, The Viking Planet takes you on a thrilling journey back to the age of the Norsemen.
A Digital Time Travel Experience Like No Other
At The Viking Planet, the Viking era is revived through award-winning VR technology, interactive displays, holograms, and a stunning 270-degree cinematic experience. Sail into the heart of a storm aboard a Viking ship, witness fierce battles, and explore the everyday lives of Vikings - all through immersive storytelling. Snap a photo of yourself as a Viking, and digitally explore iconic artifacts like the Oseberg and Gokstad ships, in collaboration with the Museum of the Viking Age.
Our acclaimed VR film, created with Ridley Scott Associates, was awarded Best VR Film in the UK and offers a visually powerful glimpse into Viking life. New attractions include an interactive timeline of major Viking events and a deep dive into history’s most significant Viking battles. You can also challenge yourself in Ferd, our action-packed VR game where you fight like a Viking using bow, arrows, or sword (available at an additional cost).
