Norway’s Best creates experiences in some of Norway’s most spectacular natural environments. Nature is our passion and the foundation for the responsibility we take in all we do. Our Sustainability Policy

Sustainability is a core principle of Norway’s Best and is embedded in everything we do. We work purposefully to ensure that development and operations balance environmental and social responsibility with economic sustainability. Sound profitability provides the basis for this work – giving us the strength to invest in measures that secure both our business and the local communities for the future.

Our ambition, reflected in the name Norway’s Best, is to be among the very best – also in stewardship of nature, people, and economic responsibility. Through continuous improvement and conscious choices, we aim to create long-term value for the company, the local communities we are part of, and the environments we operate in.

For us, sustainability is about creating long-term value through responsible resource management and close engagement with local communities. We continuously improve our practices, reduce our impact, and contribute positively to the environments we are part of – while delivering high-quality experiences.

Areas of impact

We are committed to working systematically on sustainability. For this reason, we have thoughtfully selected five Areas of impact where we can make the biggest positive difference. These areas guide our actions and form the foundation for our ambitious sustainability goals. Sustainability is dynamic and evolves over time – and so do our Areas of impact. They will be continuously reviewed to ensure they remain relevant to our work.

Environment

We work purposefully and data-driven to reduce our climate impact across locations and activities. A significant share of CO₂ emissions in tourism comes from transport to and from experiences. We take responsibility by creating sustainable frameworks and solutions that reduce this impact. Through continuous measurement, improvement, and investments in renewable energy, we aim to minimise energy consumption. We focus on responsible and efficient energy use across all operations.

Food

We prioritise local and seasonal ingredients and actively support local producers and communities. The unique natural surroundings provide the basis for high-quality ingredients, and we respect culinary traditions, nature, and culture. We continuously seek ways to strengthen sustainability in food, including reducing waste, avoiding overproduction, and making the most of resources. Our choices aim to create meals that taste good while supporting nature, culture, and communities.

People

People are at the centre of everything we do. We bring people together across backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives – as guests, employees, and members of local communities. We operate within a culture of respect and equal opportunities, developing social frameworks that provide secure, high-quality jobs year-round. Inclusion, diversity, accessibility, and engagement are central. We contribute to local communities through healthy and sustainable workplaces, supporting initiatives that empower people and create positive societal impact.

Materials

We take a circular approach to resources, seeing waste as a valuable asset rather than a loss. Through reuse, recycling, and optimal resource use, we extend material lifecycles and reduce environmental impact. Waste is sorted properly at all locations, and we create solutions to reuse materials and surplus resources across activities.

Mindset

We actively promote responsible behaviour in investments, operations, guest interactions, and communication. Our aim is to make sustainable choices easier before, during, and after a visit. We support solutions that encourage climate-friendly choices, efficient resource use, and positive societal impact. Through our actions and investments, we create experiences that leave meaningful memories while respecting people and the environment.
