Garden concert with Marit Larsen at Fretheim Hotel

30. May 2026 15:00
Fretheim Hotel

Welcome to the annual Garden Concert at Fretheim Hotel in Flåm. This year, we are delighted to welcome Marit Larsen. We guarantee an athmospheric evening as she performs songs from her 20 years as an artist. The night will be rounded off by Folk Flest, who promise sing-alongs, good vibes and goosebumps!

Experience Marit Larsen and Folk Flest in the hotel garden

Over the years, many renowned artists have performed on the garden stage at Fretheim Hotel, and in 2026 it is Marit Larsen’s turn. Since rising to fame as one half of M2M and their late-90s hit “Don’t Say You Love Me”, Larsen has established herself as a solo artist and one of Norway’s most distinctive songwriters.

Folk Flest have, since their debut in 2016, filled cultural venues and played at festivals such as Trollrock and Jordeplerock. With music inspired by country and Irish folk, they promise a perfect finale to the evening.

Bring your friends and family and join us for a night of music and atmosphere set against the spectacular fjord landscape. This will be a concert experience to remember.

Please note that the concert takes place outdoors so dress for the weather!

One of Norway’s most distinctive songwriters and artists

In recent years, Marit Larsen has achieved great success as a solo artist, releasing several albums and cementing her position as one of Norway’s foremost composers and songwriters, with songs such as Don’t Save Me, I Don’t Want to Talk About It, Under the Surface, Vår beste dag and many more.

Her latest album, Joni Was Right, was released in 2016. The album took a sidestep away from pure pop and into folk, a direction many had long sensed she would one day explore.

Now, she is finally back with new music. On 24 May 2024, she released Hun er min to glowing reviews. This autumn, Marit will bring both old favourites and new gems to 26 stages across the country.

Familiar and hidden gems

Folk Flest take the stage with all the right instruments for their country and Irish-inspired repertoire. Expect fiddle, banjo, mandolin, double bass, steel guitar, acoustic and electric guitars, drums, and, of course, polyphonic vocals.

Their set will feature both well-known and lesser-known tunes from artists such as The Dubliners, The Pogues, The Waterboys, Dolly Parton, Hellbillies, as well as traditional Irish songs.

The band consists of:

  • Einar Bolstad: vocals, acoustic guitar & piano
  • Renate Skophamar Stuppelshaug: vocals & acoustic guitar
  • Mathilde Skjæret: fiddle & vocals
  • Tor Magne Kvamsdal: mandolin, steel guitar & electric guitar
  • Lars Berge Pedersen: banjo, electric guitar & acoustic guitar
  • Jan Frode Hellebø: bass
  • Arve Lomheim: drums
