You are welcome to bring a bike on the Flåm Railway, but please note:

🚲 Own or rental bike?
In Flåm, you can bring your own bike – many travelers combine cycling with the Flåm Railway, the Bergen Line, or mountain hikes. You can also rent a bike locally, either in the centre of Flåm or at Kårdalen at the top of the Flåm Valley. Several options are available, including e-bikes, mountain bikes, and children’s bikes – all necessary equipment such as helmet and instructions is included in the rental.

Whether you have a whole day available or just a few hours ashore from a cruise, there are bike tours that suit. You can enjoy a relaxing ride along the fjord, follow the Flåm Valley from the mountains, or cycle a section of the Rallar Road. Flåm is an ideal starting point for both short trips and big adventures on two wheels – and the scenery is impressive regardless of pace or distance.

Bike Rental from Flåm Zipline
Start your trip in the high mountains and ride down the beautiful Flåm Valley. Bikes are collected at the end station of the Flåm Zipline. The zipline can be combined with your ride, but bike rental is also available separately.

Two hours with an electric bike and a local guide. Start and end in Flåm village. The tour follows easy terrain with stops along the way. E-bike, helmet and instructions included. Suitable for most – no prior experience needed.
