Ski Bus and Ski Train
Make it simple and think of the environment. During winter, you can take a free ski bus from Voss station to Myrkdalen. The buses correspond with trains to and from Bergen and Oslo.
There are several bus connections to and from Myrkdalen:
- Free ski bus from Voss daily
- Scheduled bus from Voss daily
- Ski bus from Stalheim on Saturdays
- Day trip bus to Flåm on Thursdays and Saturdays
- Free shopping bus from Myrkdalen to Joker in Vinje on Mondays and Wednesdays
The bus ride from Voss Station to Myrkdalen takes approximately 40 minutes. It is easy to combine bus travel with train connections from both Bergen and Oslo. See all timetables and how the buses connect with trains in the schedule below.
Free ski bus
To Myrkdalen:
Only for passengers to Myrkdalen, with the possibility of boarding along the way. Disembarkation is at Myrkdalen Mountain Village, outside the hotel. Therefore, it is not possible to get off the bus earlier.
To Voss:
Leaves from Myrkdalen Hotel and makes stops along the way if there are ski guests who need to get off before reaching Voss station.
NB! Guests getting off along the way between Myrkdalen and Voss must place their skis last. It is not possible to board along the road towards Voss.
To be guaranteed a seat on the ski bus, you must reserve in advance.

Route Bus
These regular route buses stop for boarding/alighting at bus stops along the way. Tickets for Skyss's route buses can be purchased in their app or directly on the bus. Please note that the route bus departs from platform B/C on weekdays.
Note! Bus and train schedules may change during holidays or on special occasions. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, there is no ski bus service. In addition, the 19.00 departure does not operate on the following holidays: January 1, April 2, and April 3. Check the current status under Webcam & Conditions or on Facebook.
Where to Find the Buses
Departure from Voss - A free ski bus departs from the bus bay in front of Voss Culture House, opposite Voss Bus Station. Skyss's buses depart from platforms B / C.
Arrival at Myrkdalen - A free ski bus runs to Myrkdalen Hotel, and the regular route buses have a bus stop on RV 13 at the exit to Myrkdalen Mountain Village.
Departure Myrkdalen - A free ski bus departs from the parking lot outside the Myrkdalen Hotel. Public buses from Skyss depart from RV 13 at the exit to Myrkdalen Mountain Village.
Arrival at Voss - Both the ski bus and the route bus drive to the bus stops at Voss station.
Free bus from Stalheimskrysset
During the ski season, we offer a free ski bus from Stalheimskrysset to Myrkdalen every Saturday. The bus must be booked in advance.
