A Ski Resort with Character

Myrkdalen is a typical West-Norwegian valley, with a vibrant local culture that has shaped the ski resort. Here, you’re situated right between Stølsheimen, the Sognefjord, the Nærøyfjord, and the high mountain plateau of Vikafjellet, offering a wide range of experiences – no matter the season.

Did you know that Myrkdalen is one of the most snow sure ski destinations in all of Norway?

The season often runs from November through May, and throughout winter, Myrkdalen Ski Resort is frequently among the top destinations in snow measurements.

Varied Skiing with 22 Runs and 9 Lifts

Two express lifts and a variety of ski lifts quickly take you to the top, allowing you to enjoy the diverse slopes, from wide, family-friendly pistes to fun ski-cross and fast red and black runs.

Myrkdalen Ski Resort is open every day during the season, with opening hours varying slightly depending on the time of winter. No matter how often or how much you want to ski, there’s a lift pass to suit your needs.

Exciting Dining Options

You won’t go hungry or thirsty in Myrkdalen. There are eight dining venues in total, offering everything from standard kiosk items at the Welcome Centre and hearty lunches at Fjellstova Vetlebotn, to stone-baked pizza at Tunet and à la carte dining at Nuten in Myrkdalen Hotel. Just west of the slopes, Helgatun Fjellpensjonat also serves traditional lunch dishes near the Helgatun lift.

At Myrkdalen Hotel, Salto Lobby Bar and Pudder Afterski provide a varied programme throughout the winter season.
