As afternoon turns to evening and soft summer light lingers over the fjord and mountains, the boat departs from the quay in Flåm. The silent electric catamaran takes you along Aurlandsfjord, past Aurland and Undredal, while the mountainsides change colour in the low evening sun.
This is a journey where the pace is slow and the scenery takes centre stage. You’ll see dramatic cliffs plunging into the fjord and spot old mountain farms like Stigen perched high on the slopes. As you approach the entrance to the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, the landscape becomes even more dramatic – but always remains peaceful.
The trip lasts about two hours and is perfect for those looking to enjoy a beautiful part of the day, either before dinner or as a calm way to end it. It’s a relaxing break surrounded by stunning nature before your evening continues.

Electric vessels designed for World Heritage landscapes
Our fjord boats are specially developed to operate in the vulnerable World Heritage fjords. The fleet includes fully electric boats and one hybrid vessel that primarily runs on electric power – ensuring the nature you experience remains untouched. The silent propulsion creates a more relaxing experience for both passengers and wildlife – here, the fjord speaks for itself.
Smart charging and zero emissions
The boats are charged in about 20 minutes at the docks in Flåm and Gudvangen. The specially designed quay in Gudvangen also handles all grey and black water from the vessels, so nothing is discharged into the fjord. Every journey contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable fjord environment.
Universal design - the fjord for everyone
The vessels are built to be fully accessible. Indoors and out, you can move freely – even with a wheelchair or stroller. The wide walkways are inspired by mountain paths, and sturdy railings ensure safety throughout the journey. It’s easy to find your own viewpoint – no matter your needs.

The onboard café serves hot and cold drinks, baked goods and sandwiches. Bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed.
