FjordSafari Winter

Winter

Take part in a unique adventure in the UNESCO-listed fjord landscape. RIBs offer an intimate experience of the fjord and mountains in this stunning World Heritage Site.

Information

Winter transforms the fjord landscape into a nearly surreal sight, and with FjordSafari, you can experience it from the water. The tours are conducted in open, stable boats that bring you close to waterfalls, steep mountainsides, and snow-covered peaks.

The trips go to Sagfossen, where ice and water form dramatic shapes on the cliffs. If you choose the longer tour, the journey continues to Styvi and a stop in Undredal – a small fjord village known for its goat cheese, white-painted houses, and charming stories.
Whichever tour you choose, fresh fjord air, local knowledge from the guide, and a winter experience you won’t soon forget await.

Both tours include full winter gear and a flotation suit, and are suitable for adventurers of all ages from 6 years and up.

Note: Daily departures during the winter season from 01.11.2025 – 31.03.2026.

Practical information

We provide all the necessary equipment you don’t have yourself – at no extra cost.

You must dress according to the season. Imagine driving a car at 60 km/h and holding your hand out the window for two hours – even in summer, that feels cold.
We recommend wearing warm clothing in all seasons, especially in winter.

The minimum age for winter tours is 6 years. A child ticket applies to all children aged 6–14.
