If you're looking for an active cycling holiday with the whole family, Myrkdalen is the perfect destination for you! In Myrkdalen, you'll find an 850 sqm pump track, jump lines of varying difficulty, a purpose-built trail with various features, bike rental, courses, and guided tours for both adults and children.
Have fun in the pump track
Right next to Myrkdalen Hotel, there's an 850 sqm asphalt pump track with various formations, bumps, and turns. The pump track is suitable for skateboards, scooters, tricycles, and regular bikes.
Riding a pump track is an excellent exercise for cyclists. It teaches you how to position yourself on the bike and to time the creation of pressure and speed without using the pedals. This knowledge and experience are fun to bring along on natural trails.
All types of bikes work well on a pump track, but many feel that they achieve incredible speed and better response from the surface on a bike without suspension. Examples are BMX, hardtail, or some form of dirt bike.

Bike trail with various elements for children and beginners
In addition to the pump track, we have a small bike trail with two green loops and one blue loop above the hotel. The trail is family-friendly and suitable for children, beginners, and cyclists looking to practice their skills on small features. The bike facility is open for use throughout the entire summer.
Electric biking is a trend that grows yearly—for a good reason. An electric bike gives you the feeling of having superpowers, allowing you to ride farther and faster than on a regular bike. In addition to hardtail and full-suspension mountain bikes, Myrkdalen Sport & Rental has electric bikes for rent in the summer.
