Unique accommodation in Tråfjosen

In Myrkdalen, you can spend the night in an old barn, surrounded by history and beautiful nature, summer and winter.

In the forest below the Storhaugekspressen in Myrkdalen lies Tråfjosen, a barn where cows on summer pasture were gathered and milked in the old days. The barn has been empty for over forty years, but now it is being used again - as a unique accommodation for people who want to experience something out of the ordinary.

Seen from the outside, the window is the only thing that indicates the barn has changed - into a unique accommodation you can experience all year round.

Inside, the stalls where the cows were milked are still intact, with fine stone slabs separating one stall from another. At the south end, a module with sleeping space for three adults or two adults and two children has been installed. To enter, you must crawl through a round opening.

The room itself is lit by the daylight flooding in from the special bay window, a construction that extends towards the magnificent view over the small valley.
