Visit Aurland Shoe Factory

The Aurland Shoe Économusée has attracted visitors who want to learn more about one of the few remaining Norwegian shoe manufacturers for years. Here you can hear (or read) the story behind the shoe factory, walk through the production premises where the shoemakers are at work and, not least, get an opportunity to shop for shoes or other great leather products to take home with you.

An Économusée is not a museum in the usual sense, but a living workshop, offering a real tourist attraction alongside the manufacture and sale of traditional products. We will show you our craft traditions and their historical context, as well as offer you the chance to purchase our products.
