Take the Narvik Cable Car to the mountains
The Narvik Cable Car takes you up to Narvikfjellet, 656 metres above sea level, in just four minutes. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Ofotfjord and the majestic mountains surrounding it. Narvikfjellet is also a perfect starting point for Arctic outdoor experiences throughout the year.
The cable car has a capacity of 1,600 passengers per hour, and the journey from the lower station to the upper station takes only four minutes. Once at the top, you can take in the scenery at your own pace, visit the Mountain Lift Restaurant, or head out for further adventures in true Arctic nature.
In connection with preparations for the Alpine World Championships 2029, Narvik Cable Car and the Mountain Lift Restaurant will be closed from 23 May 2025 to 16 January 2026.

Welcome to the Mountain Restaurant
The Mountain Restaurant at the upper station is the heart of Narvikfjellet, with its unique location right on the edge of the steep mountainside and views you would normally only dream of. Here, you can enjoy a great meal, light snacks, or simply something to drink.
A starting point for Arctic experiences
In winter, the cable car is part of the ski resort. In addition to lift-served skiing, it can also be used as a starting point for ski touring or freeriding. If skiing isn’t for you, the upper station is also an excellent base for snowshoe walks, sledging, and Northern Lights experiences.
In summer, the cable car is the starting point for mountain hikes, trail biking, and unforgettable midnight sun experiences.
