The Flåm Railway Round Trip
Flåm Railway is one of the experiences we at Norway’s best are most proud of. It is regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful train journeys, and over 20 km the train takes you from the fjord in Flåm to the high mountains at Myrdal station. The journey is breathtaking, whatever the season.
Flåm Railway – what will you experience?

- Kjosfossen waterfall: There is a five-minute photo stop at the waterfall, where you can step out onto the platform for a closer view.
- Cultural landscape: See the old Flåm Church from 1670 and small mountain farms set on steep hillsides.
- Engineering achievement: The railway is one of the steepest standard-gauge lines in the world, with 20 tunnels, 18 of which were excavated by hand.
