The new Narvik cable car opened in 2019 and can carry up to 1,600 passengers per hour. The 10-seater cars take just four minutes from the lower station to the upper station, at 656 metres above sea level. From the cable car you can marvel at the views of Narvik, the fjords, and the surrounding mountain ranges. Enjoy the scenery in peace and quiet or opt for further adventures in real Arctic nature.
Narvikfjellet restaurant lies at the heart of the resort, with its unique location on the edge of the mountain, as well as stunning views. Experience the Midnight Sun or the Northern Lights with a tasty meal or a light snack.
During the winter season the cable car is part of the ski resort. As well as slalom skiing, it can also be used as a starting point for ski touring and off-piste skiing. If skiing is not your thing, the upper cable car station is also a great starting point for snowshoeing, tobogganing and Northern Lights adventures.
In the summer, the cable car is a good starting point for hiking, mountain biking and Midnight Sun experiences.
