Evening Kayaking from Svolvær in the Midnight Sun

In summer, it never truly gets dark in Lofoten. From late May to mid-July, the Midnight Sun bathes the landscape in a magical golden light, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere. Experiencing this from a kayak offers a unique sense of closeness to nature, as you glide quietly through the scenery using only your own strength.

During our evening paddle, the focus is on the moments. Take a break, slow down, and simply be present. The azure sea is often calmer in the evening, and the soft, glowing light creates perfect conditions for photography. Bring your camera – we will make several photo stops along the way, offering beautiful opportunities to capture the seabed, dramatic mountains, and local wildlife.

You will be guided through Svolvær Harbour while learning about the history of the area – past and present – and what has shaped modern life here. If weather and sea conditions allow, we will paddle out of the harbour towards “Fiskerkona” (The Fisherman’s Wife statue), where you may even see the Hurtigruten ship arriving in Svolvær. The evening light makes the experience especially memorable and provides exceptional photo conditions.

Our guides will meet you at our base in Svolvær Harbour, where you will receive thorough instructions and all necessary equipment.
