Knitting Weekend

Anniversary! For the 10th time, we invite you to a knitting weekend in Myrkdalen.

This year, we’re putting the spotlight on slow fashion. Tuva Sandok will join us to share inspiration and talk about why more and more young people are turning to yarn and needles today.

We’ll also take a trip down memory lane, looking back at the past 10 years and exploring the knitting trends that have come and gone since we first hosted this event in 2017.

What’s included with your festival pass:

• Access to the full event from Friday to Sunday
  (including talks, exhibitor market, fashion show, and more)
• Dinner on Friday and Saturday
• Coffee and traditional pancakes (“lapper”) on Saturday
• Concert with Taus on Saturday evening

Join Tuva Sandok for a personal and inspiring journey into the world of knitting. From her very first stitches to a passion that now shapes both her life and daily routine.

Through honest reflections, she shares both challenges and small victories, and what has made knitting such an important part of her life. The talk also explores why knitting is engaging more and more young people—and how we can help keep craft traditions alive.

Tuva is 25 years old and lives in Oslo. She is passionate and puts her heart into everything she does. She shares her creative projects with thousands of followers on social media, aiming to inspire others to create something themselves.

On Friday evening, we wind down with beautiful music and great vibes from Taus—the perfect ending to a creative day.

Knitting Swap Market

Booked an accommodation package? Then you can bring handmade knitted garments you no longer use and sell them at our Vipps stand! Items must be clean, in good condition, and of course handmade.
