Welcome to an evening out of the ordinary! On Saturday, October 10th, we invite you to a Musical Wine Tasting in Myrkdalen. Join us for an educational and entertaining evening with musician, sommelier, and wine journalist Knut Bjørnar Asphol.
Taste your way through Norwegian history
Note that this event will be held in Norwegian.
Knut Bjørnar Asphol takes you on a journey through 1,000 years of Norwegian flavours, culture and history. Along the way, you will taste mead, cider, beer, aquavit, port and champagne, carefully selected to reflect the different eras.
What happened when Norwegian farmers refused to brew beer? How did aquavit help shape the country? And what does dried and salted cod have to do with the creation of Vinmonopolet, Norway's state-owned wine and spirits retailer?
Through storytelling, humour and live music, this wine show brings Norwegian history to life through both taste and entertainment.
The event lasts two hours, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and includes six tastings accompanied by entertainment.

One of Norway's most active wine communicators, Knut Bjørnar Asphol also has an impressive career in music. As a guitarist, composer and producer, he combines his extensive experience in the music industry with his background as a sommelier and wine journalist. His knowledge of wine history and Norwegian history forms the basis of a show where education and entertainment go hand in hand.
