Guided RIB Tour on the Sognefjord
Join an unforgettable RIB tour from Vik and explore some of the most breathtaking and untouched fjord arms of the mighty Sognefjord. This guided trip takes you to Arnafjord, Finnafjord, and the charming island of Kvamsøy – a unique experience that combines dramatic nature, fascinating history, and pure Norwegian beauty.
What You’ll Experience
Arnafjorden
We start in Vik and head out into Arnafjord – a lush, narrow fjord arm known for its majestic waterfalls, especially impressive in spring and early summer. Along the way, you’ll see Bungane, a dramatic cliffside farm located nearly 500 meters above the fjord. We also pass by Nese, a small village struck by one of Norway’s worst natural disasters in 1811.
Finnafjorden og Finnabotnen
Next, we cruise into Finnafjord – a remote and awe-inspiring fjord arm that lies within the Stølsheimen Protected Landscape. After navigating a small tidal current, we reach Finnabotnen, a hidden gem surrounded by towering mountains that plunge straight into the mirror-like water. It’s like a piece of paradise on earth.
Kvamsøy
On the return trip, we cross the Sognefjord to Kvamsøy – the smallest island in the world with its own church. A peaceful and historic final stop on this scenic journey.
