Polar Park, the world’s northernmost animal park
Polar Park is set in beautiful natural surroundings in the Salang Valley, around a one-hour drive from Narvik. Surrounded by mountains, forests, and open landscapes, the park offers a rare opportunity to experience Arctic animals in environments similar to their natural habitats. This makes a visit here very different from a traditional zoo.
Meet the great predators and deer of the North
At Polar Park, you can get close to some of the Nordic region’s most iconic animal species. These include wolves, bears, lynx, and wolverines, as well as moose, reindeer, deer, and musk oxen. The animals live in large enclosed areas, giving them plenty of space to move freely and display natural behaviour. The park features walking paths and viewpoints that offer excellent opportunities for observation and photography.
Join the daily predator guiding at 13:00 during the summer season, and at weekends throughout the rest of the year, for an informative hour and a great chance to see these impressive animals up close.
