Vikefjellet is the mountain plateau between Myrkdalen and Vik by the Sognefjord. It’s a popular hiking area for all ages due to its easy, undulating terrain. One of the most beloved trails is along the ridge called Ovriseggi.
You’ll walk in a dramatic landscape shaped by glaciers, with stops for photos, stories, and perhaps even a snack with a view along the way.
The hike is approx. 2 hours / 7,5 kilometres in varied terrain, manageable for most hikers, and your guide will adjust the pace and breaks to fit your group.
Transport from Myrkdalen Hotel is included, making it easy and convenient to join this unforgettable hiking adventure. If you have your own car and want to combine the hike with a trip to Vik and the fjord, you can meet at the trail start at Vikafjellet – just after the tunnel going towards Vik.
