White Christmas in Myrkdalen

Let’s be honest, Flåm and the fjord can’t always promise lots of snow. But just a 45-minute drive away lies Myrkdalen, one of Norway’s most snow-sure destinations. Here you’ll find Western Norway’s most complete ski resort, with slopes for all levels, cross-country trails, and fantastic off-piste terrain.

Myrkdalen Hotel offers great dining experiences, and for those not into skiing, there are other fun activities such as sleigh rides. On selected days, you can even try dog sledding! Every afternoon during the season, Myrkdalen Aktiv hosts tobogganing trips with snowracers from the top of the Myrkdalsekspressen chairlift, a thrilling and fun way to end your day on the slopes.
