Suggested areas for ski touring

Around Flåm there are several fantastic areas for short as well as longer ski tours. Blåskavlen is the tallest mountain in Aurland municipality at 1.809 masl. On clear days you have a wide view to large parts of Southern-Norway from here. Take the small detour over to mt. Prest and look straight into the Aurlandsfjord below.

Among the locals, it is popular to combine the Flåm Railway with ski touring around Vatnahalsen and Myrdal. For an easier trip, crossing Reinungavatnet lake to Seltuft is a good tip, while the experts can set out to conquer mt. Tarven.
