Welcome to a ski touring weekend in Myrkdalen! This weekend is all about fresh powder and genuine mountain experiences. Together with experienced guides from Wild Voss, you’ll explore some of the best ski touring terrain on the west coast of Norway.

Our guides have excellent knowledge of snow conditions, weather, and avalanche risk, ensuring you can enjoy safe skiing in the best snow. The ski tours are carried out in small groups and adapted to the participants’ skill levels. You’ll receive close follow-up, valuable guidance, and the opportunity to develop your mountain skills.

Program for the ski touring weekend
Friday, February 13
- 18:00 – 19:15: Avalanche evening – free lecture on avalanche awareness, tour tips, and snow conditions (open to everyone)
- 19:30 – 20:00: Tour meeting for ski touring weekend participants
Saturday, February 14
- 08:45: Meet in the reception area at Myrkdalen Hotel – equipment check and tour briefing
- 09:00: Departure in private cars to the day’s tour destination
- 09:30 – 16:00: Guided ski tour (possible areas: Skreieggi, Jordalen, and others)
- 16:30: Return to the hotel – evaluation of the day’s tour and planning for Sunday
- 17:00: End of the day
Sunday, February 15
- 09:00: Meet in the reception area – equipment check and tour briefing
- 09:15: Departure in private cars to the day’s tour destination
- 09:30 – 15:00: Guided ski tour in the Myrkdalen area
- 15:30: End of the day
Avalanche safety will be a topic throughout the weekend
Who is the ski touring weekend for?
The ski touring weekend is perfect for anyone who enjoys ski touring and wants to develop their skills in safe and inspiring surroundings.
You should:
- have been on a few ski tours before
- be able to ski in control, even outside groomed slopes
- know how to dress for winter mountain conditions
- be comfortable spending a day in varying weather and snow conditions with a light backpack
You don’t need to be super fit – the tours are adjusted to the participants’ levels.
