Getting Ready for 2029
Building the Ski Resort of the Future
In February 2029, the world’s best alpine skiers will gather in Narvik to compete for world titles across all alpine disciplines. Ahead of the championships, Narvik Ski Resort is undergoing extensive development, with new lifts, runs, places to eat and upgraded infrastructure. Our aim is to create a modern resort that offers even better experiences for visitors, local residents and elite athletes for years to come.
Development is taking place between 2025 and 2027, with most construction work scheduled outside the ski season. During winter 2026/27, some areas will still be under development, so you may notice temporary changes and signs of ongoing construction during your visit.
We’re doing our best to keep disruption to a minimum and offer a good variety of skiing throughout the season. We also want to be open about the work still to be completed. Thank you for your understanding as we build for the future.
